(More customer reviews)First of all, I wish that I had seen a review like this before I bought mine, but as I am the first. I am so disappointed in this watch. What is wrong with it?
1. The display is so dim and it cannot be adjusted. I was certain that the watch was faulty, I contacted the vendor and they sent me a replacement, and that was the same. It is almost impossible to read the menu indoors, outdoors it is a lot better, but still very difficult. When I looked on the Polar website discussion area I noticed a lot of people saying the same thing. How I wish that I could have found this earlier.
2. The GPS seemed not to work, I had to spend hours trying to figure out why not and by chance I found that the GPS (G1) had to be set to mode 2; absolutely no mention of this anywhere. In fact for a high price and supposedly highly functional watch the manual is not worth the paper it comes on.
3. The GPS is very basic, I could not find this out before, but it only measures the speed (at the moment) and distance travelled. It has no waypoints, no coordinates, no software to display routes or maps, etc. OK, I know this is not supposed to be a navigation device, but this information could be obtained with a foot pod at far less expense and no need for a GPS. The Garmins and Timex all have this.
On the positive side, it is a good looking watch, but not much use if you cannot read the display.
I have returned mine now to Trinowfittness - who by the way are very good. I am looking at replacing with a Polar RS800CX or a Garmin of some description.
In summary, don't get this watch if you use it in a gym, don't get it with the GPS option if you only want to keep track on how far you have run. If they fix the display it might have some other useful features. The picture used on the Polar web site shows the display as much brighter than the actual watch itself.

Yakima SkyBox Pro 21 Rooftop Cargo Box (Titanium) Review

(More customer reviews)I have had a Yakima cargo box before with 21 cubic feet. This new one has many improvements over the old version. The new version attaches in three places (when you close it) instead of two, and the closing attachments seem to be more secure. After a while the old box would allow rain to come in (so we frequently traveled with luggage in big plastic garbage bags), and this one seems less likely to have this problem. It is great to have the 21 cubic feet, although it would have held slightly more, and bigger objects if it did not have the slight fins on top, but had stayed elevated across the top, instead of having the fin-created dip. The titanium look held up well on the first camping trip.
It is nice to be able to open the box from both sides. This allows you to pack small items a little better from both sides -- if you are maximizing what you can get in, like I did on a recent car camping trip. However, the dual opening mechanism has to have the pivot point in the middle, instead of on one side, so the mouth of the opening does not seem as wide as the old box. The small opening made it a little harder to get some luggage in.
The old box (with its pre-drilled holes) did not have as much flexibility as to where it could attach to the cross bars of the luggage rack. I have a 4-Runner with a hatchback opening. On the old box, I had to elevate the back of the cargo box (about 1 inch with small plywood blocks that I made) to avoid the open hatch back hitting the cargo box (even with the air flow slat removed). On the new box there is much more flexibility on attaching the cargo box to the cross bars of the luggage rack, so I did not have to try to create anything to lift the the back of the new box. Once you have the fastening devices where you want them (after the first use of the cargo box) it is faster to attach the new box (for the second and later trips) than the old box, because the attachment devices on the new box stay connected to the box. But, that the attachment devices stay connected to the box (during storage) also slightly complicates the storage of the box since the four attachment "claws" protrude down from the bottom of the box. So, it does not slide as easily in to where you want to store it, and I did not want the weight of the box sitting on the "claws". But, this is a minor inconvenience.
I dislike having to keep a key in the lock when ever the box is open. I did not want my whole key ring (ignition key and all) out in the open while the box is open. So, I got a small key ring just for the Yakima box. Plus, you cannot leave the new box unlocked; in times past, if I was at a motel and the box was empty, I would leave the box unlocked, so that if someone wanted to try to open it, they could and easily see it had nothing in it to take. Now, they would have to damage the box to open it to see that it had nothing in it.
I paid Amazon the $50 for the delivery because I needed a weekend to make sure that the hatchback of the 4 Runner would not cause a problem when leaving on a trip the next Friday. However, the delivery was delayed for two days sitting in a truck at the Phoenix CEVA office until they had a full truck to come this way. To have a weekend to check out the hatchback problem I had to pick it up at the local CEVA office once it made it to town.. I complained to Amazon, and was readily given a complete refund on the shipping cost.

Also, one of the barbell standards is bent slightly which causes the adjustable post within to bind. I'm going to have to fix that too, by bending the post to match. I expect new products to work out of the box. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this product.

Diamondback Fitness 510Sr Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

(More customer reviews)I just bought this bike a few weeks ago to help with recovery from a surgery and I couldn't be happier with it. Fortunately, I also bought it while it was nearly 50% off (Amazon is the best). I got the bike within a week and all the parts were included and in great shape. One of the hinges of the fan attachment had broken off, but a little bit of super glue fixed that in a couple of minutes and it works fine. It took nearly two hours to put the thing together because there are so many parts to this bike, but anybody with patience can do it. Once together, it was clear that the parts were high quality, it looks like it was well made. It's completely silent except for a little whirring when changing difficulty levels. I consider myself to be quite athletic and the programs are definately challanging. There are a lot of programs to choose from and you can set up a personal profile that saves all your information. I think the calorie counter is a little low, but most exercise equipment underestimates the number of calories burned. I'm tall enough (5' 9") that I can see over the console to watch tv, but a shorter person might have trouble with this. A shorter person might also have some trouble with the back rest as it doesn't go low enough for the lower back support to sit squarely in my lower back, but I've found that a cushion remedies this well. I haven't tried all of the features but the heart rate moniter and the fan work great. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

Since the boat came to me, I could spend a day on the water instead of going to pick it up though if you have time it is good to support local stores. This boat nests reasonably well with the Malibu Two XL so we can carry both stacked upside down with the big one on top on the factory roof rack of our Rav4. There are carrying handles in the center which are not in the picture that allow a reasonably strong adult to port it overhead. The Seattle Sports kayak seats work fine with it. It is a bit small for a tandem, but can't beat the price.
